From the recording Telling Tales
Lyrics
This is a peaceful little town.
Oh, so quiet.
Nothing ever happens and the people are nice.
But many years ago a wolf came knocking on my door.
He took my children.
He took them all away.
And till this very day I still can hear them cry.
We all went searching but we didn't find a thing
and the townsfolk sang: "This madman we must hang!"
We looked for a witness.
But no one saw a thing.
So no one we could hang.
Where's that big bad wolf?
The night is on the way and the children are tired.
Don't fill their heads with nightmares before they fall asleep.
Stop telling tales of the wolf!
